Wanna Drive?CarMax came to us with a big mission:
A) build a new platform
B) make people feel empowered
C) show off the future of “omnichannel” (aka the fancy word for shopping however you want—store, home, spa, wherever).
Our take? Don’t overexplain it. Show it.
So we did the most natural thing: we sang it. We created a band
yes, a real band (and prayed they could act… they could 😉). A physical manifestation of what it feels like to confidently own the car-buying process, whenever and however you want to do it.

We built a full 360 campaign that celebrates buying or selling a car exactly your way. And of course, we wrapped it all up with an iconic yellow ribbon.

We kicked off the platform with four amazing spots
Then we unleashed the band at an actual CarMax, to be more specfic the Carmax at Duarte.
The customers were floored… honestly, so were we.
We had so so so much fun

But we didn’t stop there… we got weirder on social too. We cranked out 20+ original songs, each tied to different RTBs, so people could really get the CarMax experience. Fair warning: they’re dangerously catchy, you might be humming them for days.
